Flake uses the same build as metallic. Vinyl chips go into the wet 100% solids epoxy, cure, get scraped flat, and lock under two coats of aliphatic polyaspartic. That topcoat is the non-yellowing layer. The light texture hides dust and is easier to walk on when the floor is damp.
Partial broadcast leaves more of the base color showing. Full broadcast covers the base. Blends run from quiet gray to higher-contrast chip. Final chips are chosen against the house, not from a screen.
Best rooms: garages, mudrooms, basements, light commercial. A flake floor is typically a two-day install once the slab is clear.
